About Rachael
Rachael is an artist with many different techniques to express her creativity from oil painting to magazine collage or large wall murals and even epoxy on furniture. She is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and attended the University of Iowa as a National Merit Scholar graduating with a degree in Art Education. She taught art classes in the Dallas area for several years before moving to Waco, Texas to be more mission minded.
Her inspiration for her artwork comes from God and His natural world. Everything she sees inspires her creative imagination – textures, trees, and trips to other countries such as India and South Africa. She spent nine weeks in college volunteering at Mother Theresa’s Mission in Calcutta, India. Another summer she spent in South Africa working with children in the squatter camps.
Her work takes time as she has a great attention to detail especially in collages and oil paintings. She follows her imagination in different paths but she loves utilizing vibrant color to express her feelings of thankfulness and joy. She loves being able to share her art with others.
